Session Information

The best time to capture a sleepy, little and cute baby is within the first 3-14 days of their life. This is the time when the baby is able to curl up in cute and adorable newborn poses. So the best time to contact me is already during your pregnancy as soon as you can, so we can set up the date of the session early.

After this time the babies are not so flexible anymore and more awake which makes it more difficult to create those images you see on my website. The room I work in will be very warm and there will be lots of time for feeding and cuddling.

Early and late arrivals are not an issue due to the fact that I only book 3 sessions a week. When your baby arrives please contact me once you are home and settled, so we will arrange your actual session date.

My sessions are laid back and the atmosphere relaxed. We won´t rush, we go with the baby´s flow and lead.

My newborn sessions are taking place while the newborn is sleeping. I prefer to begin just after feeding or as close to a feeding as possible.

If your drive to my studio is a little longer I suggest that you feed your baby here once you arrive. If you live 20 or less minutes drive away you can feed your baby at home as well. That way your newborn is asleep when you arrive. Please consider that we don´t want to disturb the baby´s sleep while undressing her/ him, so dress up your baby with a snap-up or zip-up jumper/ sleeper. Please avoid clothing tob e pulled over the head.

I reccomend Mommy´s and Daddy´s to keep in mind while dress up for the shooting that I will warm up the studio for your newborn quite a lot. High temperature will help your baby be more comfortable and sleepy. Dressing up in layers is wise.

Make sure that you and your husband wear colors that go with your home settings if you want to be in any of the images together with your newborn. These photos will later hung on your walls. My suggestion for parents is to wear beautiful solid colors and simple designs. Avoid big, busy designs or logos. Siblings should wear simple and well fitting clothing, we don´t want the new baby get lost in the photo.

The newborn props, wraps, headbands, blankets, baskets you see in my work belong to my studio storage. Please let me know in advance if you have got an item or more you want me to try to use. So I can integrate it into my workflow.

If you have any preferences please mention it bevore the session day.

I can assure you it is totally normal for baby to poo or wee while beeing naked. I always have a changing table with all necessary wipes and clean up equipment out and ready! All of my newborn props are washed after every session. I always try hard to keep Mommy clean, anyway I suggest you bring an extra shirt just in case!

Please be releaxed during the session. Even if your baby is screaming and some time passed in we haven´t taken any pictures….It will all work out, trust me. Sometimes it takes your baby some time to get into being handled this much.
